8 methods to get more ideal clients on your email list…
The goal is not to just get people on your email list, but to get the right people on your email list. We don't need numbers. We don’t need just anyone. We need quality.
Because if you're getting email subscribers, but they aren't buying your course or services, maybe they aren't exactly your ideal client.
What are some ways we can draw in our ideal client?
Host a three-day challenge or three-day deep dive into a topic from your course. You'll pre-record videos for them and add them into an email sequence. 10-20 minute videos are fine.
Do a 45-minute webinar that gives them a focused topic and valuable information to implement.
Give them free modules into your online course. You can give them a sneak peek so they can see your teaching style and see if your course is a fit. Follow this up with emails and a promo.
Give them a template they will use (in my case, I use a Kartra template). Give them real value right away and something they will actually use.
Do a 30 minute to 1 hour pre-recorded workshop where they take an action from your online course or work through a problem they have.
Take a symptom survey or pain point survey / quiz to have them check off their issues one by one. Followup with an email sequence that helps them and points them to your course.
Do a video roadmap or guide that walks them through a process high level. Something they truly struggle with.
Offer a quiz that matches them with a solution or points them in the right direction (to your course or digital product ideally).
Don't implement all of these at once. Just pick one and start to attract the right people on your email list.
Make sure you're creating something they NEED and WANT. If they aren't opting in, change the topic of the opt-in or change the title. Test out a few concepts. Ask your beta course students what they would have wanted before enrolling.
Once you've created your opt-in method, make sure to keep promoting your method of choice over and over. Don't give up if it doesn't work right away. Keep refining your message and titles. Tweak it to make sure it's working before moving onto something else.
